About DocNow

Welcome to DocNow Urgent Care, the leader in Michigan urgent care centers.

We are currently serving the community with our urgent care location in Rochester Hills. Our board certified physicians and experienced staff treat your family's urgent needs with short wait times and low costs.

DocNow Urgent Care is accredited by the Urgent Care Association of America.

All of our staff and physicians have been certified in "Calmer Kids", which focuses on care for children and families.

At DocNow, the focus is on quality of care:

  • Board Certified physicians work in concert with your primary care doctor
  • You get the care you need now, and your doctor gets a full report of your visit the very next business day - so any follow-up care can be coordinated with your existing doctor. If you do not have a primary care physician, DocNow will help you find one!
  • No appointment necessary
  • Shorter waiting times and lower costs than a hospital emergency room
  • Extended and holiday hours
DocNow Urgent Care requires all of our physicians to be Board Certified in a primary care specialty. Our current physicians are all certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), which is the second largest medical specialty board in the United States. This is a voluntary, not-for-profit, private organization dedicated to improving the standards in medical care.

According to the mission statement of the ABFM, "Through certification and maintenance of certification programs the ABFM pursues it's missions by establishing, maintaining and measuring high standards of excellence in the specialty of Family Medicine. The ABFM seeks to provide assurance to the public that certified family physicians possess the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to provide quality care to the individual, family and community through commitment to professional standing, continued competency in the specialty of Family Medicine."

In order to be considered for board certification, physician must complete a three+ year residency program after medical school and pass a series of examinations during and immediately after residency. To maintain certification, physicians must participate in 50 hours of continuing medical education annually, complete ongoing "maintenance of certification" programs that include self assessments and performance reviews and passed a full day examination of medical knowledge every seven years.

Adequate information rapidly changes. Board certification gives you the reassurance that your physician is keeping up with the changes and providing you with the best possible care.
